National and world classification
January 10th, 2008, Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier
gained the first great tournament of the year 2008, the EPT of the
Bahamas and the 1.7 million dollars which accompanied its title. This
day there, it was propelled number 1 French by the site of the French
federation of the players of poker (FFJP) and world number 1 by the
CardPlayer site. Four months after this splendid exploit, these two
classifications of reference post another face in this month of April

Let us start with the classification
delivered by the site of the Federation of the Players of Poker (FFJP)
where Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier prances always at
the head with 45,995 points. Its victory in PokerStars Caribbean

2008, Elky did not make a large result and posts only one small 5th

French classification.
On the other hand, its dolphin changed face, since the French winner of
the EPT of Prague in December 2007, Arnaud Mattern, has just yielded
his place to Antony Lellouche. With 30,932 points with the meter and a
place of second to the last EPT of San Remo, Lellouche climbs with the
classification whereas retrograde Arnaud Mattern with the third walk of
the podium with 22,606 points.
In the remainder of the classification,
we can note that Eric Larchevêque makes an impressive
increase and is classified at the bottom of podium with 18,573 points.
Its recent performances and its eighth place (118,224$) at the time of
the Hand Vent of Open Irish in March 2008, are surely for something.
Another rising figure, Eric Koskas, who has finishes 4th EPT of San
Remo, makes his appearance in Signal 20 with 11,851 points.

On a world level, the things changed much since the beginning of year
2008. In charge of the classification we find the winner of the EPT of
Dortmund, Michael Macdonald, instead of Elky. Behind, we find Phil Ivey
with 1 487,214$ of profits and a first title WPT in the pocket, that of
the L.A Poker Classic dating of February 28th, 2008.
In the third place of the classification, we are not surprised to see
David “The Dragon” Pham. Elected official better
player of tournament of the year 2007, David Pham already disputed five
tables finale of major tournaments. Nevertheless, no victory is to be
put in the active of the American champion since it aligns much more
places of honor than of victories.
First
of world classification to the beginning of the year,
Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier is classified today in
the fifth place, just behind the recent winner of Bay 101 shooting
Star, Brandon Cantu. Nevertheless, the French had evoked in our
exclusive interview which its main objective was to finish world number
1 at the end of the year like confirming by gaining another title EPT.
